Dr. Klaus grew up playing a variety of different sports including hockey, soccer, football, and many others recreationally.  He played club soccer at South Carolina United Football Club for most of his childhood into high school where he played Varsity soccer for 4 years.  In high school he developed a passion for powerlifting, weightlifting, and bodybuilding and has continued it ever since.

He continues to be an athlete, competing at a high level in the USAPL Powerlifting Federation.  He has won first place in 2 out of 3 his competitions.

Dr. Klaus is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida and received his undergraduate in Exercise Science from Winthrop University in South Carolina.  While at Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. Klaus developed a passion for movement and mobility. He has always been fascinated by the complexity of the human body and musculoskeletal system.  His passion led him to continue his education in the Functional Range Systems Courses where he became a Certified Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist, Functional Range Release Provider, and Functional Range Assessment Specialist.  

 

Dr. Klaus loves getting people out of pain, but that is only the first step of the way.  He utilizes his skills as a mobility specialist, former sports performance coach and personal trainer, to optimize the treatment he provides. His next step is to teach people how to move better and function at their best.  Whether it is for performance in sports or day-to-day activities.  He has worked with many sports  and fitness related injuries and has great deal of knowledge related to injury prevention (mitigation). His clinical decision making is always guided by best clinical practices and the most up-to-date evidence.
