Cupping is the application cups to create suction and decompression of the skin and underlying fascia.  This therapy is performed with and without movement, to create both internal and external gliding of the tissues.  The cups are also utilized to provide pain relief and decrease muscle soreness.

 

The doctor will determine the target tissue for manual suction and place either plastic cups or silicone Rock Pods with a suitable size onto specific points and areas of the body. The cups are placed on only for a few minutes. The skin may turn red and have bruising as a result from the change in pressure.
